Negatives:
As soon as it rains, the place gets mouldy. the management company tried to blame us for poor ventilation but it was clear they’d just painted over the mould from before, absolutely disgusting. also took maintenance a couple of weeks to sort out the mould which was bad for health. MICE!! in the bathroom, they’d run around at night and all the management company did was fill in the holes under the bath and trap them in so we had dead mice which smell terrible. Massive hole below the toilet that lead directly outside, and the back door wasn’t locked or sealed properly so the flat was practically an ice cave. Fridge and freezer and hobs all broke within the first month then had to wait until almost 3 months for new appliances- awful! Management company are rude and unhelpful and utter scum, withheld our deposit for a month after multiple calls asking for it back!!! then when they did send it, they threatened us by saying if we dispute the amount their sending back (less than half) then we’d receive a significantly lower amount- even though we left the flat in better condition than we found it! Also aggressive neighbours.
Advice for next tenants:
DO NOT MOVE HERE! Simplylet are evil and they’ve put the rent up to £1250- not worth it. If you do move here my advice is buy a lot of blankets and mould remover spray.
