Overall
Positive:
The layout of the flat is lovely. Lots of natural light. Very old fashioned neighbourhood vibe. Location fantastic, 2min to big Tesco, 2min to seafront, 2min to bus to central Brighton.
Negatives:
Landlord does not deal with issues. Had a mouse infestation for a year that he knew about and refused to do anything about because it involved removing kitchen cabinets. Also had an insane mold problem in the bathroom that he also refused to deal with. Agency could NOT get in touch with him to get him to do anything. Smoke alarm never worked the whole time I was there - 6 years.
Advice for next tenants:
Don’t rent it unless it has changed owners and he’s sold the property.
