Very hard, but the people and location was amazing. Neighbours were nice but students. That is literally the only good thing.

Negatives:
"We rented a room in a 5 bedroom house - we were a couple and there were 2 other couples, which made the total amount of people renting 8. We had 2 bathrooms but 1 shower. The bathroom without a shower had a bath that didn't work and all of the windows were painted shut, so we couldn't open them. The heating didn't get turned on until November and it only was on for 4 months of the year, so if you're freezing in March - too bad! We had a room filled with 4 fridges, 2 washing machines and a dryer. This room had no ventilation, no windows and was always getting mouldy due to the moistness. The kitchen had hotplates which if got a bit of water on in (say a pot of pasta over flowed a bit) it would short circuit the whole bottom floor and everyone would be without power. To top everything off, we left a pillow in our room when we moved out and Ocean charged us £60 for cleaning, which is ridiculous as no one cleaned. My ex housemates told me. People were amazing and loved the vibes so much, but the house was so dangerous and cluttered with ocean not caring. I will never ever use them again. PS. I forgot, the roof in the lounge kind of fell (just the plaster) but it was heavy enough to break a phone which was on a table underneath it. We told Ocean and they blamed us! How on earth can we break a ceiling on a Tuesday morning before work?"

Ask about heating, find out about other tenants and ask about cleaning
