Overall
Positive:
Nice flat, very well maintained. Great location - near Camden, but in a quiet spot. We didn't have a rent increase for several years (though we were paying more rent than any of our neighbours by several hundred pounds per month, but that was reflected in the nice condition of the flat).
Negatives:
It can be quite noisy. The main door is directly below the bedroom window, and everybody seems to let it slam (no matter how later or early they come home). We had problems with noise from the neighbours downstairs. When we left, we felt that the landlady was unreasonable in how much she charged us for very superficial issues. Drug dealers operate in the street and you do get drug addicts using the stairwell. Bikes chained up outside will be stolen. We had drug addicts living in a tent outside for a few months too.
Advice for next tenants:
Good flat though a little noisy. Location is great, but the neighbourhood does have some issues. Expect to have a fair whack taken off your desposit.
